EDUCATION
Graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Regional Music College. Currently a student at the Dnipro Academy of Music.
AWARDS AND HONORS
Maksym Ivanov actively collaborates with leading Ukrainian musicians and ensembles, including: Orest Smovzh, for whom he composed the cycle "15 Little Caprices for Violin Solo" in 2024; the ensemble Nostri Temporis, for which he wrote "Shades of White 3" in 2025 — premiered at the Lviv National Philharmonic; and the Nota Bene Chamber Group, who performed his work "Palimpsest" at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in May 2025. In the upcoming 2025–2026 season, the premiere of his oratorio "Terra Lacrimosa" is scheduled at the Dnipro Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

His performance repertoire focuses on 20th and 21st-century composers, including: Luciano Berio, Olivier Messiaen, Yevhen Stankovych, Tōru Takemitsu, John Cage, Arnold Schoenberg, André Jolivet, Salvatore Sciarrino, Zoltan Almashi, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Pierre Boulez, Kazuo Fukushima, Luigi Nono, and many others.
Maksym Ivanov’s compositional output includes numerous works for chamber ensembles, solo instruments, as well as choral and orchestral compositions.

Maksym’s works are regularly performed abroad.
