This year's KinoBouquet will conclude with the pre-premiere screening of Valentin Vasiyanovych's film "Reflection." On August 20th at 6:00 PM in the garden of Sofiya Kyivska.
A Ukrainian civilian who later becomes a military surgeon, Sergiy, is captured by Russian forces during the Russian-Ukrainian war in eastern Ukraine.
While in captivity, Sergiy sees horrifying scenes of humiliation, abuse, and torture of Ukrainians by the Russian occupiers. During a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, Sergiy is released from captivity and is back to his previous civilian life. He tries to find a new purpose in life by rebuilding his relationship with his ex-wife and their daughter. He learns to be a new person, a father who knows how to love and support his loved ones.
