Maksym Shadko is a young pianist, yet already a recognised virtuoso both in Ukraine and abroad. A native of Kharkiv, Maksym will present the 'Music of Kharkiv' concert programme at Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2024.
Maksym Shadko is a multiple winner of international competitions, including the Volodymyr Krainev International Competition for Young Pianists (2004, Ukraine), Night in Madrid International Competition (2014, Spain), Borys Lyatoshynsky International Competition (2014, France), First Open Competition Kharkiv Assemblies (2016, Ukraine), Kyiv International Piano Competition (2018, Ukraine), Franz Liszt Center Piano Competition (2021, Spain); participant in numerous masterclasses, in particular, in 2020 he was personally selected by Maestro Murray Perahia to participate in his masterclass.
In addition to his solo concerts, Maksym performs as a soloist with symphony and chamber orchestras and is a soloist with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
In 2022, the musician received a PhD in Music and currently teaches piano and chamber ensemble at the I.P. Kotlyarevsky Kharkiv National University of Arts.
