The Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2024 festival premieres the musical performance ‘Yaroslav and Ingigerd: Life Story - Love Story’. It is thrilling and emblematic that the project will be presented for the first time in the very place where their great story unfolded – at St Sophia of Kyiv. 
The deep-rooted ties between Ukraine and Sweden, between Ukraine and Europe, are revealed through the language of contemporary electronic music and animation, through the love story of the ruling couple. The 30-year-long union of Yaroslav and Ingigerd contributed to the flourishing of Kyivan Rus: its statehood, economy, culture, and diplomacy and established powerful centuries-old ties between Kyivan Rus and Europe.Grand Prince Yaroslav the Wise was known as the father-in-law of Europe, and all the children of Yaroslav and Ingigerd were married to European reigning dynasties.
Exclusively for the ‘Yaroslav and Ingigerd: Life Story - Love Story’ project, composer Maxim Kolomiiets created music, and artists Alina and Karina Haieva created authentic images based on historical materials kindly provided by researchers at St Sophia of Kyiv.  
The process of developing the images for the project began a year ago with the study of historical sources and research on the rule of Grand Prince Yaroslav. The images were based on the frescoes and ornaments of St Sophia Cathedral.
The project will be exclusively presented at the festival by the prominent Ukrainian actress Kateryna Kisten. Live improvisation - Dmytro Radzetskyi (8-string MIDI Radz guitar).
As part of the project at the Bouquet Kyiv Stage festival, there will be an exhibition of Alina Haieva's designs for the animated film, as well as a workshop on Vybiyka, an ancient technique of decorating (12th century) using symbols and ornaments of St. Sophia Cathedral.
