The music of Fryderyk Chopin has long been one of the defining symbols of the European piano tradition. Rooted in Polish musical heritage, it has transcended national boundaries to become a universal language of human emotion. His works unite nobility and freedom, intimate lyricism and dazzling virtuosity, profound introspection and extraordinary expressive power.

The programme explores the many facets of Chopin's creative legacy. The Polonaises and Mazurkas reveal his deep connection with Polish culture, the Nocturnes open a world of subtle emotional expression, while the Études combine technical brilliance with exceptional poetic depth. A special place in the programme belongs to Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante, one of Chopin's most celebrated concert works, in which refined lyricism gradually unfolds into a brilliant and festive finale.

The programme will be performed by the Polish pianist Radosław Sobczak — an educator, concert performer, and scholar of Polish music, as well as a prizewinner of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He has recorded six albums featuring works by Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Karol Szymanowski, Paweł Łukaszewski, Piotr Pętkiewicz, and Franz Liszt. A three-time nominee for the Fryderyk Music Awards, he received the Muzyczne Orły Golden Diploma in 2025 for his recording of Liszt's complete Transcendental Études. In 2026, he released his latest album, Beethoven: Complete Piano Concertos, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death.
