"Bandura is the Soul" is an intimate acoustic program where the traditional sound of the bandura takes on new forms within the modern musical landscape.
At its core are instrumental pieces composed specifically for the bandura or reimagined for it — including the cycle “Echoes” by Valentyn Sylvestrov and music by Victor Stepurko.
The program is enriched with original compositions that incorporate ethnic elements and the sounds of folk instruments.
The Banduryst Chapel "Churai" (Kyiv) is a young and creatively free ensemble that unveils new dimensions of Ukrainian instrumental music.
