Philip Norman – researcher and staff member of London’s Garden Museum, who has been its soul for more than 40 years.Philip came to Kyiv bringing a special gift – a bouquet gathered and crafted by the gardener of the British Prime Minister, as a message and a sign of respect and support. After the exhibition ends, the bouquet, as an art object, will remain within the walls of Saint Sophia of Kyiv.
Oleksandr Filonenko – Ukrainian philosopher, Orthodox theologian, public intellectual, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. In particular, he reflects on the phenomenon of the Garden as a formative space and envisions how contemporary gardeners can become a driving force of positive change in Ukraine.
During the Conversation, we will reflect together on how art and creative projects can preserve and revive memory. And why even the most fragile flower can become a voice of resistance in dark times.
