Lecture-Recital "Panorama of the Ukrainian 1920s"
This fascinating concert programme presents Ukrainian piano music from the cultural explosion of the 1920s—a period when Ukrainian composers embraced European modernism, experimented with new musical languages, and sought their own artistic voices. Importantly, these composers did not belong to a single aesthetic movement. This diversity is precisely what makes the programme so valuable, offering a vivid panorama of Ukrainian musical life before Stalinist repression nearly destroyed this rich artistic tradition.

Before the concert, the pianist will introduce the audience to the context of his research into Ukrainian musical modernism, sharing the stories behind the composers and works featured in the programme.
The concert is presented as part of the long-term research and cultural project "Liberated Music of Ukraine", which returns to the concert stage the works of Ukrainian composers whose names and music were erased from historical memory.
