Ukraine – the Heart of EuropeCreative Workshop for Children and Adults
Bouquet Kyiv Stage Festival is a space where art connects generations. That’s why each year, we traditionally create a special programme for children — a space of play, imagination, and discovery, where every child is invited not just to observe but to create.
In these challenging times, as war reshapes childhood, we strive to give children the joy of discovery, the power of imagination, and the warmth of shared creativity. We want them to keep believing in beauty, in art, in humanity, and to feel part of the greater European cultural family, where the Ukrainian voice rings out with honesty and strength.
Culture is a living conversation, and we believe that children deserve a voice in it today.
"Ukraine – the Heart of Europe" is the theme of this heartfelt workshop. Each child (and adult!) will create a symbolic paper heart — a heart that trembles with pain but also pulses with courage, a heroic heart beating for freedom, humanity, and beauty.
We will craft hearts — each with its own shape, its own language, its own strength. Because every heart tells a story.
In this workshop, children (together with adults) will create hearts from paper, thread, and felt, giving them unique forms, colors, and emotions. Some will be soft and voluminous, others minimal and precise. Some will be pure and childlike, others slightly chipped — but unbreakable.
These hearts will decorate the trees in the festival’s art space, forming a symbolic map of love, hope, and mutual support. They will stand as a reminder: we are alive as long as the heart of culture beats.
