Contemporary Ukrainian violinist and educator, Artistic Director of the National Chamber Ensemble “Kyiv Soloists”.

EDUCATION
Graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

AWARDS AND HONORS
Awarded the title of Fellow of the Guildhall School. He has studied with Professors David Takeno and Krzysztof Smietana.
Prizewinner of several prestigious international competitions, including the Wroński Solo Violin Competition (Warsaw, 1997) and the Nielsen Competition (Odense, Denmark, 2000).

REPERTOIRE
His repertoire covers nearly all major violin concertos from Vivaldi to Schoenberg and Ligeti, as well as numerous sonatas and short works for violin and piano. He performs major cycles such as Paganini’s 24 Caprices, Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas, and Beethoven sonatas.

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY
He has performed at London’s Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square, and Southbank Centre. Dmytro is the founder and artistic director of the International Britten Music Competition in London.

He tours extensively across Europe, Japan, China, South Korea, and the United States. Recent engagements include performances at the Lucerne Festival (Switzerland), Spoleto Festival (Italy – premieres of works by Luciano Berio and Louis Andriessen), the world premiere of Concert Fantasy on Themes from “Zaporozhets za Dunayem” by Oleh Bezborodko in Amsterdam, a performance at the 60th anniversary celebrations of the United Nations in New York, and concerts at Wigmore Hall and St John’s Smith Square in London.
