Ukrainian percussionist, member of the National Ensemble of Soloists “Kyivska Kamerata,” and professor at the National Music Academy of Ukraine, the National University of Culture and Arts, and the Luhansk State Academy of Culture and Arts.

EDUCATION
Graduated from the Kyiv State Conservatory with a degree in percussion instruments.

Laureate of the All-Union Performers Competition (Tallinn, 1980),
Laureate of the International Competition in Poznań (1997),
Grand Prix winner at the International Festival in Seoul (2001).

REPERTOIRE
As a researcher, he made a significant contribution to the revival of bell towers and bell-ringing art in Ukraine. This work inspired the creation of the country’s first ensemble, “Kyivski Dzvonari” (“Kyiv Bell Ringers”), which for the first time in history performed Ukrainian classical music on carillons (chromatic bells) in cities across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and other European countries.
He is the author of the first carillon projects (chromatic bell towers) in the Orthodox world, including those installed in the bell towers of St. Michael’s and St. Sophia’s Cathedrals and other churches in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine.
Heorhii Chernenko has composed a large number of original works, arrangements, and adaptations for various percussion ensembles. He has also written pieces specifically intended for performance at competitions and festivals of different levels.

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY
He regularly tours with renowned ensembles and soloists in concert halls across Ukraine, Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Participant in international music festivals and competitions, including:
Mozart Festival in Vienna, Intertheat, Gradus ad Parnassus, New Territory, MusicFes, among others.
Heorhii Chernenko has conducted his own masterclasses in Germany, Norway, Mexico, Colombia, and other countries.
