Ukrainian composer, music and public figure, educator, founder and artistic director of the Ensemble of New Music “Rykoshet”.

EDUCATION
Graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts and Kharkiv State University.

AWARDS AND HONORS
Winner of the First Prize at the Ukrainian composition competition Gradus ad Parnassum in Kyiv. Finalist of the international competition for young composers Gaudeamus (Netherlands) with the composition Voices of Rivers for chamber ensemble (out of more than 700 submissions, only 9 works reached the final stage). Awarded a diploma at the international saxophonists’ competition Selmer–Paris in Ukraine for the best work by a Ukrainian composer for saxophone.

REPERTOIRE
His compositional style was shaped under the influence of Edison Denisov, Iannis Xenakis, Luigi Nono, and Giacinto Scelsi. He occasionally turns to non-classical genres and writes music for film and television.

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY
Serhii Piliutikov’s works have been performed at international festivals Days of New Music in Zurich, as well as in concerts in Switzerland, Poland, and Ukraine.

His performers include the Zurich New Music Ensemble, French saxophonist M. Siffer, Stockholm Saxophone Quartet, Swiss pianist D. Blum, and the Avalon Trio (Switzerland).
