The National Ensemble of Soloists Kyiv Camerata was founded by Valeriy Matyukhin in 1977 as the Chamber Music Ensemble at the Union of Composers of Ukraine. Kyiv Camerata is an orchestra where every musician is a virtuoso and solo performer. The General Director and Artistic Director of the orchestra is the renowned violinist and soloist Bohdana Pivnenko. The principal conductor is Kerry Lynn Wilson.
EDUCATION
The orchestra’s soloists are graduates of the National Music Academy of Ukraine.

In 2000, the ensemble was granted National status.

Composers who have written music for the orchestra include Valentyn Sylvestrov, Yevhen Stankovych, Myroslav Skoryk, Ivan Karabyts, Oleg Kiva, Vitaliy Hubarenko, Yuriy Ishchenko, Levko Kolodub, Leonid Hrabovsky, Volodymyr Zubytsky, Lesya Dychko, Hanna Havrylets, Zoltán Almási, Yulia Homelska, Karmella Tsepkolenko, and many other artists.
INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY
The National Ensemble of Soloists has performed multiple times in Poland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Armenia, Croatia, Georgia, the USA, Kuwait, and other countries.On April 28, 2024, the National Ensemble of Soloists «Kyiv Camerata» delivered a major charity concert at Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall) in New York, featuring mezzo‑soprano Joyce DiDonato and the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York, conducted by Kerry‑Lynn Wilson, under the auspices of USA for Ukraine.The event was widely covered and described as a “triumphant concert of Ukrainian academic music” and a powerful cultural statement of solidarity in the face of war
