A municipal chamber choir was founded in December 1990. Artistic director and conductor — Mykola Hobdych.
EDUCATION
Choir members are graduates of music academies and universities across Ukraine.
AWARDS AND HONORS
Winners of the Golden Diploma at the 1st Robert Schumann Choir Competition, Zwickau (Germany); First Prize at the 12th Church Music Competition, Hajnówka (Poland); Grand Prix at the 6th International Choir Competition, Sligo (Ireland); Second Prize at the 49th International Choir Competition, Llangollen (Wales); Grand Prix at the 20th Competition among previous laureates, Hajnówka (Poland).
REPERTOIRE
The choir’s programmes include national and international music from the Middle Ages, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism, and contemporary periods.
INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY
The choir has given over 1,500 concert performances on stages in 22 countries worldwide, including the USA, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Georgia, and Ukraine.
