EDUCATION
Graduated from the Department of Folklore Studies, Institute of Philology, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Mariya’s songs are inspired by her love for Ukrainian folklore and by the voices of people she has met during numerous field expeditions across Ukraine.

At the core of her artistic practice are ancient folk songs from different regions of Ukraine, carefully collected, reinterpreted, and presented to a new generation of listeners.

ARTISTIC ACTIVITY
In her albums, the singer reveals the living power of tradition, demonstrating that songs created many decades ago remain strikingly relevant today. Themes of love, loss, hope, home, and human dignity continue to resonate within each of us.
