Susanna Chakhoian
Susanna Chakhoian, Ukrainian lirico-coloratura soprano with Armenian roots through her father, was born in Bila Zerkva and grew up in Odessa.

She started her musical education at the age of five, studying piano at the famous Stoliarsky School. After finishing school, she enrolled at the piano department of the Odessa State Musical Academy, where she studied with the highly esteemed Professor Ludmila Ginzburg. The young pianist was offered post-graduate education scholarships in Western Europe, she decided, however, to enter a singing career.

Susanna started to study singing with the legendary opera singer Eugenia Miroshnichenko at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kiev.

Still being a student, the young singer was invited for Juliette's role in a new production of Gounod's "Romeo and Juliette" at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kiev. Since then she has belonged to the ensemble as a preeminent soloist. In 2009 President Viktor Yushchenko awarded her the title "Honored Artist of Ukraine".

Participating in several international singing competitions, she won prizes in Budapest, 2002 (Second Prize), at Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna, 2004 (Audience Prize and Special Prize for the best stage personality), in Alcamo, Sicilia, 2008 (Second Prize and Best Verdi interpretation).

She has performed at all opera houses of Ukraine, in Tatarstanopera, Kazan, and has been on numerous opera tours to, among others, France, the Netherlands, and Italy. Her operatic repertoire comprises besides Juliette, just to name a few, Lucia in Donizetti's Lucia Di Lammermoor, Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto, Oscar in Verdi's UnBallo in Maschera, Leila in Bizet's Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Pamina in Mozart's Zauberflöte, Rosina in Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème and Serpina in Pergolesi's La Serva-Padrona.

Besides opera, Susanna Chakhoian devotes an important part of her activity to giving solo recitals and performing chamber repertoire as well as Ukrainian folk music. Last season she gave series of concerts with authentic Ukrainian music in cooperation with the National Bandura Capella of Ukraine. She is a regular guest at the National Philharmonic. In concert the artist appeared in K. Orff's Carmina Burana, Britten's Les Illuminations, Mahler's 8th Symphony, Haydn's Die Schӧpfung, Vier Letzte Lieder by R. Strauss, to name a few.

In 2008 Susanna Chakhoian initiated the idea of creating "Vienna Soirées", an international cultural cooperation program between Austria and Ukraine, developing the art concept of the project. The initiative continues today in Vienna in a format of regular chamber concerts with top Austrian singers Clemens Unterreiner, Mehrzad Montazeri, Sebastian Reinthaller.

Over the years she has established herself as a guest star in numerous radio and TV productions. Beyond singing the artist is passing on her professional experience to students of Kyiv Music Academy named after R. Gliere.
The National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyivska Kamerata"
The National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyivska Kamerata" is a leading performer of chamber music of various styles and genres within the scope of Ukrainian musical culture. The artistic repertoire of the ensemble is extremely diversified – from the Early Baroque music to the latest works by the XXI century composers. Still, the major sphere of the ensemble's artistic activities from the moment of its foundation till nowadays has been performance and promotion of music written by Ukrainian composers as well as representation of their work abroad.

"Kyivska Kamerata" commenced its activity on conditions of a single-show company in 1977, it was founded by Valerii Oleksandrovych Matiukhin, a famous pianist, a soloist of the Kyiv Philarmonic. The ensemble has immediately established a reputation as a performer of a serious Ukrainian contemporary repertoire, since the main objective of "Kamerata's" foundation was an attempt to join actively in the process of Ukrainian music creation and provide the contemporary Ukrainian composers with an opportunity to hear live performances of their own works and the pieces written by their colleagues.

For a lasting period of time the ensemble has been a specific artistic laboratory of the Union of Composers of Ukraine, due to which a great number of chamber pieces by Ukrainian authors – Yevhen Stankovych, Valentyn Sylvestrov, Ivan Karabyts, Oleh Kiva, Yurii Ishchenko, Yaroslav Vereshchahin, Volodymyr Zubytskyi, Ihor Shcherbakov, Iryna Kyrylina, Volodymyr Zahortsev and a lot of others – have been performed. For the period of its existence the ensemble has walked a torturous part of artistic development. Its artistic destiny has been formed under a continuous organizational support provided by its unchanging director, chief conductor, the People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize – Valerii Matiukhin, with the participation of famous Ukrainian composers, People's Artists of Ukraine – Yevhen Stankovych, Myroslav Skoryk, Ivan Karabyts – who led the ensemble at different times.

"Kyivska Kamerata" is a union of highly professional musicians. Each one of them is a luminous artist and a top-level performer. The professional level of orchestra's members allows each of them to be a soloist, due to which "Kyivska Kamerata" is rightfully considered "the ensemble of soloists". A lot of performers are laureates and award winners of the international and national competitions, including laureates of the international competitions Bohdana Stelmashenko (flute), Vitalii Alfavytskyi (clarinet), laureates of the L. Revutsky Prize Bohdan Halasiuk (oboe), Zoltan Almashi (cello), the Honored Artist of Ukraine Oles Yasko (violin), Oleh Seredynskyi (violin), Lolita Khomlichenko (cello), Liubov Mosiichuk (cello), Dmytro Tavanets (piano).

A distinctive feature of the ensemble is its exceptional mobility in performing. The members of the orchestra perform within versatile musical formats – from the duo of soloists to a small symphony orchestra. Exactly this accounts for the huge and manifold repertoire of "Kyivska Kamerata" offering the works of A.Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, etc., composers of the XIX century – L. Spohr, F. Schubert, R. Wagner, E. Grieg, M. Glinka, P. Chaikovsky and others... it plays the music of M. Ravel, A. Schoenberg, I. Stravinsky, A. Honegger, G. Crumb, R. Shchedrin, Е.Denisov...

Owing to the high level of performance the ensemble has gained prestige in the professional musical circles not only in Ukraine, but also abroad – in Germany, Austria, France, the USA, the PRC, Poland, Greece, Russia, the Baltic states, Armenia, Georgia. The active concert programme of the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyivska Kamerata", their constant participation in the international and national competitions-festivals confirm a high rating of the ensemble, its image of a subtle interpreter and an unsurpassed performer of chamber music of various styles and genres.

"AVE" Сhamber Choir
"AVE" Сhamber Choir is a universal vocal and choral sphere, capable of taking in all possible forms of choral singing: female, male, mixed vocal ensembles, choirs. Oksana Nikitiuk is an artistic and ideological leader of the choir, its conductor, soloist and ensemble member.

"AVE" is an alternative to a classical choir. In it each singer is an individual performer, open to the search of new vocal techniques and methods of phonation. Members of the choir are professional conductors-chorus masters and singers, alumni of the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine, laureates of the international competitions.Conductor of the "AVE" Choir embodies an alternative idea of a universal conductor, whose performance goes beyond the academic forms of choral conducting. The objective of the "AVE" Chamber Choir is performing the pieces composed by Ukrainian and European composers of the ХХ – ХХІ centuries.

Oksana Nikitiuk:"The artistic idea of the choir is finding and hearing not only intricate compositional structures, but also the Heart of the composer in the contemporary choral music."
In 2013 Myroslava Kotorovych made her long-term dream come true and united young talented performers into a modern musical group. Myroslava Kotorovych has transformed the experience of professional communication with her father, a famous Ukrainian violinist Bohodar Kotorovych, a collaboration of many years with Gidon Kremer, one of the best violinists in the world, and his Chamber Orchestra "Kremerata Baltica", her own pedagogical ideas and principles into a project of the ARTEHATTA Art Workshop, which is unusual for Ukraine. The ARTEHATTA Chamber Ensemble has become a brilliant, well-integrated community of young performers, embodying the best practices and traditions of the European chamber performing.

The Art Workshop's projects give the listeners an opportunity to immerse in the world of music – well- or not so well-known, classical or avant-garde one. Still, distinctive features of the ensemble – an original artistic outlook and musical programmes, arranged in a unique way – always remain unchanged. The début performance of the ensemble took place at the iconic contemporary art festival "GOGOLFEST".Since then the collective has led an active concert life. The musicians have already presented over 30 original projects on the stages of many Ukrainian cities and abroad, during the concert tours in Italy, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Estonia. Galliano (soloist – Ihor Saienko); made a studio recording of the series "The Seasons" by P. Chaikovsky, a suite "Peer Gynt" by E. Grieg for the Ukrainian Radio; created a TV version of the concert programme "Cinema: Sound Pictures" for the "Kultura" TV channel.

Morphine Records.

Porto Franko 2018.

The 2015 ECHO Classic Award which he received as "Instrumentalist of the Year" is testimony to his success.

In his concerts, Maurice Steger takes listeners on a spellbinding musical journey, with every piece of music offering something to discover. As a soloist, conductor or both at once, he regularly performs with the top period instrument ensembles, such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Venice Baroque Orchestra, the English Concert, La Cetra, the Lautten Compagney and I Barocchisti. He also performs with leading modern orchestras such as the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, the Musikkollegium Winterthur, the Berlin Baroque Soloists (Berlin Philharmonic), the Canadian Violons du Roy, the Chamber Orchestra Basel or the NDR Radiophilharmonie.

Chamber music plays a notable role in the richly varied spectrum of Maurice Steger's artistic endeavours. With fellow musicians and friends such as Hille Perl, Marco Postinghel, Xenia Löffler, Daniele Caminiti, Naoki Kitaya, Mauro Valli, Sebastian Wienand and Fiorenza de Donatis, he dedicates himself to a continuously updated repertoire of Early music. He also performs with artist colleagues such as Cecilia Bartoli, Andreas Scholl, Pablo Heras-Casado, Laurence Cummings, Nuria Rial, Bernard Labadie, Sandrine Piau, Diego Fasolis and Sol Gabetta. Along with early music, Maurice Steger also engages with new concert formats and contemporary compositions.

Tours of Asia and Australia have led to performances with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Taipei Symphony among others. He was the first recorder player from the West to perform with the Traditional Taipei Chinese Orchestra. He also regularly performs in North and South America.

His commitment to musical education is also extremely important to him: in order to encourage young children to playfully engage with classical music, he invented the character of "Tino Flautino", and has performed hundreds of children's concerts in this role. For his latest musical fairytale, he invented "Pinocchio and the recorder player". Maurice Steger also gives various master classes each year, and in 2013 took over the directorship of the Gstaad Baroque Academy at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad.

'Mr. Corelli in London', 'Una Follia di Napoli', 'Vivaldi: Concerti per flauto' and 'Telemann: Recorder Works' with The English Concert, I Barocchisti and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin: numerous award-winning CD recordings published by harmonia mundi, most of them with highly imaginative thematic concepts, are a long-standing testament to the unique prominence achieved by this artist.

The current music project "Souvenirs d'Italie" with exciting new discoveries from the Naples of the early 18th century has already won many of the most important international record awards.
