The programme "Voices"
The programme "Voices" consists of four parts. These are the educational tasks that were shot by the students-television producers at different years of their studying at the workshop of A. Nepytaliuk and A. Zamanska.
The first part is entitled "Immersion into Sound". This is an attempt to tell their story, connected with the old masters' paintings, using voice-over sound and intra-frame assemble.
The second one is "Portraits" (in search of similarity). Each student had to find the similarity of portraits of old masters with the modern faces of their fellow students. It was meant not only a portrait copy but also a character, plastique, and the character's inner world. This is the so-called work with archetypes.
"Film Adaptation of Japanese Hokkus". It was necessary to transfer the sense, mood, and sound of three lines of Japanese hokkus in Ukrainian translation with the help of only three frames. Works of the famous Ukrainian translator Mykola Oleksiiovych Lukash were used in this challenging task.
"Voices" features the poetry of Ukrainian poets of the 1960s, shot in the territory of the former studio "UkrKinoHronika". Now it is the place of training of students of the Institute of Screen Arts, destroyed by modern construction coming from all directions.
