Final concert of the participants of conducting and singing workshops
August 19th, 6 p.m.

On the programme – symphony and opera music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Gioachino Antonio Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

Participants of U Artist Music conducting and singing workshops are coming from the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Korea, France, Austria and Ukraine to study and share their experience.


Invited teacher-conductor Cristopher Lyndon-Gee — Professor at Adelphi University (New York). He is a repeated Grammy nominee, who has won various prizes and awards not only as a conductor but also as a composer.

A co-founder of the "Ensemble Fase Seconda", which has presented dozens of new productions in Italy, Germany, France and at numerous international festivals, in particular, at the Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music (Międzynarodowy Festiwal Muzyki Współczesnej "Warszawska Jesień").

Tammy Hensrud – soprano, Professor at Hofstra University (New York) and Saint Olaf College (Minnesota, USA). She has given master classes at the National Opera Association, Classical Singer National Convention, NATS Eastern Region Convention. Tammy Hensrud is a member of such organizations as AEA, AGMA, NATS and NOA, as well as Summer and Easter festivals, the Metropolitan Opera, the Cleveland Opera, opera orchestras of James Levine and Herbert von Karajan.

Darla Diltz is an alumna of MSU in Wichita Falls (Texas). She received her Masters from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. At present Darla lives in New York City, where she maintains a private voice studio. At Adelphi University she teaches voice, vocal pedagogy, jazz history and is the Director of Adelphi Opera Theatre. Darla Diltz is a member of Opera America and the National Opera Association.

Violetta Zabbi — Vocal coach, Professor at Adelphi University and Brooklyn Сollege (New York, USA). Musical director and conductor at Vocal Production NYC, Opera Slope, Delaware Valley Opera. Violetta Zabbi performs as a pianist as well. Moreover, Violetta has graduated from Odessa National Musical Academy of Ukraine.


The National Presidential Orchestra was founded pursuant to the Order of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed on November 29th, 1991. The formation of the collective was entrusted to Anatolii Molotai, Head of the Military Band Service of the National Guard of Ukraine.

The work of the orchestra commenced with the preparation of the musical version of the State Anthem of Ukraine, participation in the official ceremonies dedicated to the first anniversary of Independence Day of Ukraine.

Main tasks of the orchestra are as follows:

- musical accompaniment of the formal state events, which are held with the participation of the President of Ukraine or under his patronage;

- revival and development of the traditions of national musical culture of Ukraine;

- popularization of the best works of musical art – classical heritage and works of contemporary composers;

- participation in the patriotic and aesthetic education of military men and citizens of Ukraine.

At present the National Presidential Orchestra is a unique artistic collective, in which brass, chamber, symphony, variety and symphony orchestras and a big-band have been combined harmoniously which gives the orchestra an opportunity to employ various musical genres and styles in its creative work, and to represent Ukrainian national musical culture in the global artistic space adequately
